Consignment

Maximize the value of your equestrian items by allowing JEM Equestrian Sales to sell them on your behalf.

  • Your item will be professionally photographed, listed, marketed, and sold through JEM Equestrian Sales.
  • The standard consignment period is 6 months (180 days) unless otherwise agreed in writing.
  • When your item sells, you will receive 60% of the final selling price, and JEM Equestrian Sales will retain 40% as its commission for photographing, marketing, listing, customer service, payment processing, and completing the sale.
  • Payments are issued within 7–14 business days after the buyer’s payment has cleared and any applicable return period has expired.
  • If your item has not sold at the end of the consignment period, you may choose to have it returned (return shipping costs are the responsibility of the consignor), extend the consignment agreement, or authorize JEM Equestrian Sales to donate or dispose of the item.

Trade-In

Receive store credit toward your next purchase.

  • Trade-in value is provided after your item has been evaluated.
  • Store credit is issued as a discount code that can be used on eligible purchases.

Buyout

Get paid quickly without waiting for your item to sell.

  • We purchase approved items outright at an agreed-upon price.
  • Payment is issued after your item has been received, inspected, and approved.

How It Works

  1. Submit Your Items – Complete the submission form with details and clear photos of each item.
  2. Evaluation – We’ll review your submission and respond within 2–3 business days.
  3. Choose an Option – If your items are accepted, we’ll provide available Consignment, Trade-In, and/or Buyout offers based on the item’s condition, brand, and current market demand.
  4. Ship Your Items – Once you accept an offer, you are responsible for securely packaging and shipping your item(s) to JEM Equestrian Sales. Shipping costs to JEM Equestrian Sales are the responsibility of the seller unless otherwise agreed in writing.
  5. Inspection & Processing – Upon receipt, JEM Equestrian Sales will inspect all items to verify their condition and confirm they match the submitted description.
  6. Get Paid – Buyout payments and trade-in credits will be issued after inspection and acceptance. Consignment items will be listed for sale, and payment will be issued according to the consignment terms after the item sells.
